Press Release: Fire on Otis Drive, Alameda

On June 30, 2013 at 3:24 am, the Alameda Fire Department was dispatched to the report of a fire next to the building on the 2800 block of Otis Drive. Arriving firefighters found an outside fire in-between two houses, both of which were threatened by the flames.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire. Fire damage was confined to a stack of household belongings which were being stored outside. There was also some damage to each of the exposed houses, however minor in nature. A total of 18 firefighters responded.

There were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters.

Fire damage is estimated at $1500 to the two structures and $3000 to the belongings that were being stored outside.
