Flood Watch in effect for Bergen County until Saturday Morning (6/15/13)
Current forecasts predict rain, sometimes heavy, beginning in the early morning hours of Thursday (6/13) and continue through early morning of Friday (6/14). This unusual weather track is expected to deliver 3-4 inches of precipitation throughout the day in Bergen County. Winds 15-25mph with gusts to 30-40 mph in the evening.
High soil moisture already exist with recent rainfall. Flood Watch in effect from Thursday morning until Saturday morning. Minor tidal flooding between 1-2 ft expected.Fair weather expected for Saturday and Sunday, potential for ongoing river and stream flooding, chance of showers and thunderstorms for Monday. This weather system will continue to develop and change.
