RE: Alert citizen partners with Motor officer to nab residential burglars 
On Thursday, June 6th, 2013 at approximately 2:35 PM, El Cerrito Police officers responded to the report of two subjects casing a house in the 1700 block of Wesley Avenue. One suspect was at the front door while the other suspect went to the sideyard. An alert citizen called and provided a description of the two suspects and their vehicle as they fled. A motorcycle officer noticed a vehicle matching the description several blocks away on San Pablo Avenue. The officer was able to maneuver his motorcycle through traffic and conduct a stop on the vehicle. Detectives conducted research on the property recovered from the vehicle and were able to locate two homes in El Cerrito which had just been burglarized. The suspects, Montonio Robinson, a 20 year old, male, Oakland resident and Tyrone Pittman, a 20 year old, male, Oakland resident were arrested for possession of stolen property, attempted burglary, burglary and conspiracy and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility. The Contra Costa County District Attorney’s office filed the same charges in this case today.
