White Fire Winding Down - 6:30pm, Wednesday, 29 May 2013 
The Forest Service provided the following update to the White Fire incident:
Improved mapping now has the fire size at 1984 acres and is reported at 90% contained. There was no fire activity along the perimeter lines of the fire, however, there was continued evidence of smoldering within the fire perimeter as fire crews continue to mop up.
No fixed wing aircraft were used today though several were assigned. A few helicopters of the 8 assigned were used throughout the day.
No structures are threatened and residents are being allowed to return to the lower park areas. No forest visitors are allowed at this time.
The total cost to date for the fire response is approx. $1.5m.
Higher than normal winds are forecast through late Thursday as crews work to completely contain the fire.
OEM will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
