White Fire Update - 08:00am, Tuesday, 28 May 2013
The Fire Service is providing the following update to the White Fire:
The fire is still well within the Los Padres National Forest burning in an easterly direction along the Santa Ynez River.
All Operational Area Fire Departments and CALFIRE are supporting the US Forest Service.
Fuels are at critical levels. Fire conditions are similar to August / September. Weather today is similar to yesterday. Weather similar to yesterday with increasing NE winds in PM and decreasing relative humidity. Current Fog and high humidity in Fire area but fog is forecasted to lift in the afternoon with winds reappearing. NWS issued a high wind warning effective until 3:00am Wednesday (see below).
Acreage is reported at 1800 acres, with 10% containment and the potential to grow.
563 total personnel assigned to the fire with no injuries reported.
