On May 24th, at approximately 1:24 AM, the LMPD received a report of a robbery that just occurred in the 7900 block of University Avenue. The suspect walked into the gas station wearing a Spiderman mask and pulled out a black semi-automatic pistol. The suspect told a customer to lie on the floor and then began kicking the man. The suspect demanded money from the clerk and was last seen running northbound on La Mesa Boulevard. The loss was approximately $300 and the clerk was not injured. The male customer left on a bicycle after the robbery and before police arrived and has not been located. A search of the area by LMPD and A.S.T.R.E.A. did not locate the suspect and he is still outstanding.

The suspect was described as a black male adult, wearing a red and blue Spiderman mask, a grey t-shirt with white text on the front and dark jeans. He was described as being approximately 5’ 8” tall with a stocky build and 25-30 years old. The weapon was described as a black semi-automatic pistol.
