A law enforcement raid on an auto salvage yard in northwest Harris County netted dozens of vehicles suspected to have been stolen -- and third-degree felony charges against seven men.

Each defendant is charged with placing serial numbers with the intent to mask the true identities of vehicles.

CWM Body Shop at 11856 Zuinn St. was the location of the raid Monday by the Harris County Sheriff's Office in conjunction with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, National Insurance Crime Bureau and Harris County Pollution Control Services.

Authorities removed 29 vehicles that may have been stolen and the investigation continues.

Bail was set at $55,000 each for:
