Superstorm Sandy Small Business Recovery Grants Now Available
Today, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) will begin accepting applications for the Stronger NJ Business Grant program. This program provides up to $50,000 per impacted location and up to $250,000 per entity to eligible small businesses and non-profit organizations which sustained a minimum of $5,000 in physical damage from Superstorm Sandy.
Please note that to be eligible for the funding, the business must have applied to and received a declination or approval for a Small Business Administration disaster loan. Details and application information for grant opportunities for individuals have not yet been announced, but individuals must be registered with FEMA in order to be eligible. The deadline to register with FEMA and SBA is midnight, May 1, 2013. To register with FEMA, call 800-621-FEMA or visit http://www.disasterassistance.gov.
