On April 26, 2013, at approx. 4:30 P.M., Simi Valley Police Officers arrested 52 year-old Cristina Novelo on charges of child annoying (647.6 (a)(1) P.C.) after he stalked and attempted to solicit sex from a 15 year old male victim in the parking lot of the Do-It-Center, located at 2417 Sycamore Dr. The male suspect was dressed as a female at the time of the incident and his true gender wasn't discovered until after his arrest. The suspect, a resident of North Hills, CA., was driving a red 2006 Toyota Avalon 4-door vehicle. The Simi Valley Police Department is providing a photo of Novelo and is asking anyone with information on this incident or any similar incidents to call the Simi Valley Police Department's Detective Unit at (805) 583-6906. Residents are reminded to be suspicious of all persons whenever they are randomly approached for any reason in a public place.
