Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fifth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating the person who sent a suspicious package to a Suffolk County resident in December 2012.

On December 12, 2012, an East Patchogue man received a suspicious package in the mail. An investigation revealed that the package was mailed from the Hempstead post office and Suffolk police would like to question the person who brought the package to the post office to be mailed. Surveillance video shows that he is an elderly black male wearing a dark colored jacket with distinctive patches on the sleeves and on the back of the jacket. He was also wearing brightly colored striped gloves.
