Localized flooding w/in N Aurora & some roads impassable. Stay home if you can & check your basement sump pumps. 
The North Aurora Police Department is advising citizens that we are experiencing localized flooding, which is causing some streets to become impassable.
Do not try to drive through standing water as it may be deeper than it looks.
We recommend residents stay home and avoid traveling if you can. We also recommend checking your basement sump pumps to make sure they are functional. We also have reports of numerous basements flooding, primarily due to to sump pump failure.
Instructions:
Do not drive through standing water. Do not attempt to cross streams/creeks with flowing water. Avoid traveling if you can. Check your basement sump pumps.
