*****UPDATE- Teen missing from Palmdale***** 
The teen reported missing from Palmdale committed suicide in Kern County at approximately 8:00 PM Monday, April 15, 2013.
The investigation will be handled by Kern County Sheriff’s Department personnel.

Palmdale Sheriff Station is seeking the public’s help in locating a 13 year-old missing boy. The missing teen was reported missing at approximately 9:15 this morning from the City of Palmdale. He is described as a male white approximately 5’07” and 127lbs, with dark brown wavy hair. He was last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt, dark pants and grey Nike shoes.
The missing teen is despondent over an incident at school which resulted in being temporarily suspended. While searching the young man’s room, his father found an apparent suicide note. It was also discovered the father’s firearm was missing. It is unknown whether or not the young man took the firearm. As a precautionary measure the young man’s school was placed on a state of heightened awareness, although the note did not articulate any threat toward the school or any other person.
