A Man Exposed Himself to a Female Student at LA City College

INCIDENT DATE: Monday, April 8th, 2013

TIME: 4:11pm

LOCATION: LA City College, 855 N. Vermont Ave., LA 90029

VICTIM: 51 Year-old female student

SUSPECT: male Hispanic in his mid to late 20’s


UNIT: LASD Community College Bureau


NARRATIVE:

On Monday, April 8, 2013, a 51 year-old female student was seated in her vehicle in parking lot #1 of LA City College (located at the corner of Melrose Ave & Vermont Avenue) when a Hispanic man in his mid to late twenties, walked up to her driver-side door and exposed himself to her. The victim reached for her cell phone to capture the incident on video.

The suspect took a few steps away from her vehicle, zipped up his pants and stood by for a few seconds before walking away and out of view towards Vermont Avenue.

During the next couple of days after the incident, the victim told her friends about what had happened to her. Although she was urged to report it to law enforcement, the victim chose not to immediately report it.

The incident was brought to deputies’ attention through a campus source, prior to talking to the alleged victim.

Deputies from the LASD Community College Bureau contacted the victim on Friday, April 12, 2013 and took a report. The victim told deputies she was planning to report the incident on Monday, 4-15-13.

The victim was unable to provide deputies with a more accurate description of the suspect.
