A suspected motorcycle thief who escaped from the custody of a Sheriff's Deputy while in a hospital is now back behind bars. 18-year old Isaac Nachbar was arrested by members of the Fugitive Task Force or FTF just after 6:00 p.m. near the I-5 in Encinitas.

ORIGINAL MESSAGE
Be on the lookout for 18-year-old Isaac Nachbar. He escaped from the custody of a Sheriff's Deputy while in a hospital in Encinitas.

Nachbar was arrested on Wednesday, April 10th after a deputy saw him pushing a stolen motorcyle near South Vulcan and Encinitas Boulevard. He was taken to the Encinitas Sheriff's Station for processing, but he told a deputy he felt sick. He was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital.

At the hospital, Nachbar requested to use the restroom. He was accompanied by a deputy. As the deputy was replacing handcuffs back onto Nachbar, he pulled away from the deputy's grip and ran out of the hospital's emergency room.

A search immediately ensued, which involved additional deputies, K-9 Units, and helicopters overhead.
