Rebecca Paz the sister of Leland Thomas Nicholson., was arrested this afternoon by the Dos Palos Police Department for aiding the fugitive

On April 07, 2013 Rebecca Paz, age 36, was taken into custody for providing a safe haven for her brother Leland Thomas Nicholson Jr.
Investigators learned that Nicholson was wanted in Oregon for Murder in Oregon. It was confirmed through several sources that Nicholson arrived in Dos Palos at the residence of Paz shortly after the incident in Oregon occurred.
On April 03, 2013 Investigators contacted Paz regarding Leland Nicholson Jr. being at her residence. A search was conducted of the residence however, Nicholson was not located.
Paz provided Leland Nicholson Jr. food and shelter while he was on the run as well as a safe haven from authorities.
Paz is a half sister of Leland Nicholson Jr. The two (2) share a mother in common who has passed away.
“There is no doubt that Leland Nicholson Jr. was at the residence of Paz, however, his current whereabouts are still unknown.”
The Dos Palos Police Department is continuing to seek the public’s assistance. It is believed that Leland Thomas Nicholson Jr., is attempting to make it to Mexico.
The Dos Palos Police Department is currently investigating other tips received about Leland and those who may be attempting to aid him.
“We will continue our efforts until we can confirm that Nicholson is no longer in the Dos Palos area, and no longer poses a threat to our local citizens.”
Leland is believed to a have received money from his brother Timothy Nicholson while in Dos Palos, however, the amount of money received would only have lasted a few days.
