Residential Burglary Suspects Arrested

LOCATION: 1000 block of Arlington Road, Redwood City
TYPE OF INCIDENT: Burglary Suspects Arrested
VICTIM: 72 year-old, male, Redwood City resident

SUSPECT #1: 15 year-old, male, Redwood City resident
SUSPECT #2: 15 year-old, male, Redwood City resident
SUSPECT #3: 16 year-old, Newark, resident

INCIDENT SUMMARY:
On Thursday, March 28, 2013 at approximately 11:58 AM, Redwood City officers responded to the 1000 block of Arlington Road on a report of an interrupted residential burglary. The victim called 911 and reported two males had been in his backyard and attempted to pry open a rear sliding door. When the victim confronted the subjects they fled on foot. When officers arrived they immediate located one of the suspects and detained him. A perimeter was established and officers began searching the neighborhood for the outstanding suspects. An alert neighbor contacted the officers and told them there were three suspects, two who entered the victim’s backyard and one suspect who acted as a lookout. The neighbor provided a description of the suspects and the direction they fled. The two additional suspects were located by officers and taken into custody. All three suspects were booked into the San Mateo County Juvenile Hall for attempted residential burglary and conspiracy.
