NARRATIVE:
On March 26, 2013, after a three week investigation, the Burlington Police Department arrested Kevin Martin of Burlington VT on four counts of Sale of Cocaine, which are punishable by up to 5 years in prison and a fine of $100,000 each. Martin was taken into custody this afternoon without incident. At the time of Martin’s arrest he was found to be in possession of 13.8 grams of cocaine, and 2.3 grams of marijuana. Possession of 13.8 grams of cocaine is punishable by up to 5 years in prison and a fine of $100,000. Possession of 2.3 grams of marijuana is punishable by not more than six months in prison and a fine of $500.00 Martin was lodged, $10,000 bail for the four counts of sale of cocaine as the additional possession of cocaine and marijuana charges.
The Burlington Police also executed a search warrant at Martin’s residence located on South Prospect Street near the intersection of Maple Street in connection to the investigation.
Martin has a criminal record that includes a federal conviction for the sale of cocaine from 2006. He also has a state felony conviction for unlawful mischief along with numerous state misdemeanor convictions.
