HPD Traffic Officers investigated a major injury accident on Harder Rd near Westview Way where a speeding motorist lost control of their vehicle and struck two pedestrians. One pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for serious but non-life threatening injuries. The driver and both pedestrians are Cal State East Bay students.

Patrol Officers and School Resource Officers responded to the area of Tennyson Rd and Ruus Rd after receiving several calls of a possible fight in the area involving a firearm. Officers located and arrested a female juvenile just after she discarded a firearm. The juvenile admitted to being a gang member.

A strong arm (no weapon used) robbery occurred in the 200 block of West Winton Ave where four suspects surrounded the victim and demanded money. The suspects then fled on foot but three of the four were captured a short time later and arrested. The victim suffered minor injury when one of the suspects punched him in the head.

While on a traffic enforcement stop in the area of West Winton Ave and Amador St, officers witnessed a motorist collide with a bicyclist. The motorist fled the scene but was spotted a short time later on Carlos Bee Bl. The motorist was arrested for hit and run and the cyclist was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers investigated a robbery that occurred in the 700 block of B St. Five suspects approached the victim as one suspect hit the victim with a bottle. The suspects took the victim’s wallet a fled westbound on B St. The victim received a minor injury. Suspects are at large.

A strong arm robbery occurred in the 26900 block of Tyrrell Ave. The suspect approached the victim on the sidewalk and struck the victim in the chest while pulling a gold necklace from the victim’s neck. The victim was not injured and the suspect is at large

An assault with a knife occurred inside of a restaurant in the 700 block of A Street. The suspect approached the victim and stabbed the victim in the face in an apparent robbery attempt. The suspect fled the scene but was located a short time later and arrested. He was identified as a suspect in at least two other robberies and was on parole.

Officers responded to a fight in the 800 block of B Street where two subjects got into an argument. The suspect pulled out a pellet gun and shot the victim in the face four times. When the initial officer arrived, the suspect challenged the officer to shoot him. Other officers arrived and took the suspect into custody. The victim suffered minor facial injuries.

Officers responded to the area of B Street west of Foothill Bl regarding a domestic dispute. The involved parties are a male and female in a dating relationship. During the argument, the female struck the male in the face with a claw hammer. The female was arrested at the scene and the male was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers responded to a sounding alarm in a commercial area in the 30700 block of San Clamente St. Officers located two suspects in a closed business and learned that they had taken copper tubing and copper wire from the business. A vehicle associated with the suspects was also located in the area and found to have additional copper tubing inside of it. The suspects were arrested for burglary and possession of stolen property
