Weekly Crime Summary Time Period: March 3rd – March 9th

Homicides – Between 3/3-3/9, there were no homicides. In 2013 YTD, there have been four homicides. In 2012 YTD, there were five homicides.

Rape – Between 3/3-3/9, there were no reported rapes. In 2013 YTD, there have been four reported rapes. In 2012 YTD, there were 7 reported rapes.

Robberies – Between 3/3-3/9, there were three reported robberies. There was one armed robbery and two strong-arm robberies. These three incidents occurred in eastern station area. All three incidents occurred between 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. In 2013 YTD, total robberies are down approx. 5% from 2012.

Aggravated Assaults – Between 3/3-3/9, there were 7 reported incidents of aggravated assault. Those incidents include two domestic violence incidents and one child assault incident. During this period, there were no ADW-Gun incidents. In 2013 YTD, aggravated assaults are up approx. 24% from 2012.

Residential Burglary – Between 3/3-3/9, there were 9 reported residential burglaries. Five incidents occurred between 7:00 am-1:00 pm. During this time period, five incidents occurred in District III. In 2013 YTD, residential burglaries are up approx. 1% from 2012.

Comm/Other Structure Burglary – Between 3/3-3/9, there were two reported comm/other structure burglaries. In 2013 YTD, there have been 33 reported incidents. In 2012 YTD, there were 26 reported incidents.

Grand Theft Auto – Between 3/3-3/9, there were 20 reported stolen vehicles. 40% of vehicles were stolen between 11:00 pm – 5:00 am. The most frequent vehicles stolen were 90’s model Honda Accords (4), Honda Civics (2), and Nissan Sentras (2). During this time period, District III had six reported stolen vehicles (2 in RD 2831). District I & District II each had four reported stolen vehicles during this time period. In 2013 YTD, GTAs are up approx. 23% from 2012.

Vehicle Burglary – Between 3/3-3/9, there were 4 reported vehicle burglaries. Three incidents occurred between 11:00 am – 5:00 pm. During this time period, there were two vehicle burglaries in District II. In 2013 YTD, there have been 54 reported incidents; up approx. 22% from 2012.
