Three Facing Drug Charges following Traffic Stop
Dearborn County: Last night at approximately 11:20 p.m. Trooper Kyle Stovall stopped a 2000 Dodge Neon at U.S. 50 and Arch St. in Lawrenceburg for a traffic violation. After making contact with the driver, 26 year old Matthew P. Redd of Madison, IN, Tpr. Stovall noticed the smell of burnt marijuana radiating from within the vehicle. The driver and two passengers were asked to exit the vehicle. A subsequent search revealed heroin, a hypodermic syringe, and other articles commonly associated with the use of heroin. All three individuals were taken into custody without incident and transported to Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center.

Matthew P. Redd, 26 of Madison, IN-Charged with Possession of a Schedule I Narcotic (Heroin) and Maintaining a Common Nuisance
Derek A. Wood, 22, of Bedford, KY-Charged with Possession of a Schedule I Narcotic (Heroin) and Visiting a Common Nuisance
Justin C. Jones, 25, of Lexington, IN- Charged with Possession of a Schedule I Narcotic (Heroin) and Visiting a Common Nuisance
Tpr. Stovall was assisted at the scene by Troopers Brent Miller and Brian Earls.
Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
