UPDATED INFORMATION

Investigators have made an arrest for the shooting death that occurred on Sunday, March 10, 2013, at approximately 8:37 P.M., in the 900 block of Rowan Avenue, East Los Angeles.

Lieutenant Dolson reports investigators discovered victim Marco Blanco, M/H 43, was at his residence when a vehicle suddenly collided with his fence. Blanco exited his home to see what happened, when the driver of the vehicle, unprovoked, shot Blanco in the upper torso and left the scene on foot. Blanco was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators identified the suspect as Jonathan Francisco Valle, M/H 22, a gang member from the Compton Area.

Valle subsequently turned himself in and was booked at East Los Angeles Sheriff's Station where he was arrested for Murder, and is being held in lieu of $1,000,000.00 bail.

Investigators believe they have recovered the murder weapon.
