Person assaulted at Main Library, in an attempt to steal his computer.

On Wednesday March 6, 2013 at approximately 11:30 a.m., officers responded to the Main Library for a reported unarmed robbery in progress.

According to the victim, he was on the 2nd floor studying in an individual room, and got up to use the restroom. When he returned, he noticed a male exiting the room. The victim then noticed his laptop missing

The victim chased the suspect and confronted him about the missing laptop. The suspect then assaulted the victim about the head and face area. The victim was able to grab the suspect's jacket, and refused to let go until the suspect gave back his laptop.

The suspect eventually let go of the laptop, (which was damged in the struggle) and fled the area on foot.

The suspect is described as a dark skinned Black Male, 20-30 years of age, 5' 7" tall, no facial hair, and wearing a Black jacket with green on the shoulders, Blue jeans and a Black baseball cap worn backwards.
