Indianapolis District 52 Troopers Busy Overnight
Indianapolis, IN- Indianapolis troopers were busy overnight working crashes and slide offs throughout the Indianapolis District.
During the hours of 6:00 p.m. yesterday evening, March 5th, to 8:00 a.m. this morning March 6th, Indianapolis District 52 troopers were dispatched to 46 slide off’s, 40 property damage crashes and 20 personal injury crashes.
During the course of working these crashes three State Police cars were damaged and a trooper was transported to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries when they were struck by other vehicles.
Trooper William Gannon and Trooper Jonathon Caddell state police cars were struck while working crashes on I-74 at the 118 mm and I-465 at the 24 mm respectfully. There were no injuries at either crash.
Trooper Brian Snyder received minor injuries when the passenger side of his state police car was side swiped by the trailer of a passing semi tractor while working a crash on I-65 NB at the 92 mm. Trooper Snyder was transported to a local hospital to be treated for pain to his head, back and left arm.
