Child has been located safe and sound

(INDIANAPOLIS) – IMPD missing person detectives are pleased to announce that 10-year-old Larry Stone has been located safe and secure. An alert security officer working security for Marsh Supermarket, 6965 W. 38th St., located Larry who was walking through the store. The security officer recognized Larry’s face from on-line stories that were being broadcast via the internet and social media. The security officer immediately took Larry to the security office where he then contacted police. Larry was brought back to the school and released to his parents.

IMPD missing person detectives would like to thank the following partners who helped facilitate an successful social media effort that led to the eventual return of Larry: IFD Urban Search and Rescue, Wayne Township Schools, Marsh Supermarkets, and the media.


(Indianapolis) – IMPD Missing Person Detectives are looking for 10-year-old Larry Stone last seen around 3:30 PM leaving North Wayne Elementary School.

Larry was last seen wearing a black hat, pants, shoes, coat and eye glasses. Larry is believed to be carrying a blue and black backpack. Larry is described as approximately 3 foot 11 inches tall, weighing approximately 70 pounds and light-skinned.

Anyone having information reference the whereabouts of Larry is asked to dial 9-1-1 immediately.
