Tip Leads To Three Arrests

Attica- On Friday evening a tip to the Indiana State Police Methamphetamine Suppression Units led to the arrest of three individuals for various drug charges.

Trooper Brock Russell of the Indiana State Police Meth Suppression Team was advised by a local retail store in the Lafayette, IN area of possible articles purchased that are used in the making of meth. Further investigation by Trooper Russell and other members of the Meth Suppression Team turned up an active meth lab at a location on the 200 block of south Pike Street in Attica, IN at approximately 2:15 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Arrested at the scene was Jerrick W. Kirby, 28 years old from Attica for Manufacturing of Methamphetamine a Class B Felony and Possession of Two or More Chemical Reagents or Precursors with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine a Class D Felony. Kirby was booked into Fountain County Jail where he is being held on a no bond order for violation of probation. After taking Kirby into custody, troopers went to Kirby’s residence at 707 south Union Street in Attica and found three children under the age of 10 years old with no responsible adult supervision. Fountain County Child Protective Services were called to take control of the children.
