The Caldwell Police Department would like to remind residents of the current state law (N.J.S.A. 39:3-70.2) which prohibits Idling your vehicle for more than 3 minutes. We would like to extend this reminder due to the recent weather conditions where some residents may be more inclined to idle their vehicles more than normal. Please also remember that school zones are also prohibited Idling zones and are posted as such. While waiting for children outside of the schools please turn off your vehicles.
