Jefferson County: On Saturday, February 16 just after 12 noon Troopers Randel Miller and Andrew Mitchell responded to a residence in the 11000 block of Henry Road in Deputy regarding alleged abuse of an elderly woman. Upon their arrival they spoke with a resident of the home and then later to the alleged abuse victim. During the course of their investigation they discovered numerous hypodermic syringes, numerous pills, paraphernalia, and a powder that is suspected to be a controlled substance.
The next day the troopers returned to the home to continue their investigation and arrested 52 year old Mark A. Dean and his brother, 44 year old Wallace Dean both of Deputy on preliminary charges of 42 counts each of Possession of a Syringe (Class D Felony) and one count each of Possession of Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor). In addition, this investigation led Senior Trooper Stephen Wheeles to Hanover where he arrested 50 year old Tony Eden of Hanover on a Parole Violation warrant. All three individuals were transported to Jefferson County Jail without incident. This matter remains under investigation and could lead additional charges. Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies are assisting Tpr. Miller with the investigation.
Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
