Compton deputies arrest two gang members and recover two handguns during a traffic stop. 
Compton Sheriff’s Station deputies continue to reduce gun/gang violence through proactive law enforcement.
On February 9, 2013, at approximately 1900 hours, Compton deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop. One of the males, a criminal street gang member, ran from the vehicle and was immediately detained. The gang member was in possession of two handguns. The driver and passenger that fled from the vehicle were members of a criminal street gang and arrested for various weapons charges.
These outstanding Compton Sheriff’s deputies inevitably stopped a potential shooting and murder in the city of Compton.
Compton Sheriff’s Station continues to provide safety for the citizens and community we serve.
