Special Meeting on the Proposed Medical Marijuana Dispensaries Ordinance

In December 2012, staff presented a draft Medical Marijuana Dispensaries Ordinance for San Leandro City Council review that would permit no more than two medical marijuana dispensaries to operate in the City. Members of the community are invited to attend and provide comments regarding the proposed Medical Marijuana Dispensaries ordinance at a special meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at the Senior Community Center. Staff will describe the proposed ordinance, amendments to the Zoning Code and next steps in the public review process, which will include hearings by the Board of Zoning Adjustments and Planning Commission. The purpose of this special meeting is to receive public comment on the proposed ordinance.
