DETAILS:
Within the last 24 hours, the San Leandro Police Department has recovered two firearms while conducting proactive enforcement.
On 01/15/13, approximately 6:45 PM, an officer stopped a vehicle for a vehicle code violation. The stop was made on Lewelling Blvd., near Tropic Court. The officer searched the vehicle and located a firearm in the trunk. Rojas was arrested for possessing the unloaded firearm.
On 01/16/2013, approximately 1 AM, Officers conducted a probation search of a hotel room on Lewelling Boulevard. During the search a loaded firearm was recovered. Carlos Ferrer was arrested for possessing the loaded firearm.
