TPD makes arrests in entering auto and burglary cases.

On the morning of March 27th 2009, officers from the Tyrone Police Department found themselves writing numerous reports of stolen items from vehicles in the Pendleton subdivision. In all, more than a half dozen vehicles had been entered with numerous items missing. Some of the items were GPS units, laptops, stereo equipment, game consoles, and jewelry.

The investigation led to a Paulding county man, Arthur Mabry, who was still in possession of some of the stolen items. Mabry was immediately placed under arrest and is currently in the Paulding county jail. Although Mabry lives in Paulding County, he has ties to the Tyrone area. Mabry’s girlfriend, Ashley Hullett, not only lives in Tyrone but lives in the Pendleton subdivision.

Most of the items have been retrieved at this time, but some items that were not pawned were traded at drug houses in the Griffin area. Mabry has been charged with nine counts of entering auto and two counts of burglary. Hullett has been charged with theft by receiving stolen property. All of these charges are felonies.
