Tip Leads to Five Methamphetamine Arrests

Wolcott-Yesterday a tip to the Indiana State Police Methamphetamine Suppression Units led to the arrest of five individuals for various drug charges.

Trooper Brock Russell of the Indiana State Police Meth Suppression Team was advised by a local retail store in Lafayette, IN of possible articles purchased that are used in the making of meth. Further investigation by Trooper Russell and other members of the Meth Suppression Team turned up a active meth lab at 2176 west 450 south in White County near Wolcott, IN. Found in the house were three adults and three children. While troopers were conducting the investigation at the residence, two more adults showed up. All five of the adults were taken into custody and transported to the White County Jail in Monticello, IN. White County Department of Children and Family Services were contacted and took custody of the children at the residence.

4. Neglect of a Child-Class D Felony
5. Possession of Two or More Chemical Reagents or Precursors with Intent to Manufacture-Class D Felony
6. Maintaining a Common Nuisance-Class D Felony

Jason C. Storms, 38 years old

2. Dealing Methamphetamine-Class B Felony
3. Possession of Methamphetamine-Class D Felony

Trooper Brock Russell wants to advise the public that anonymous tips help deter crime and lead to arrests of criminals. An anonymous tip to the Meth Suppression “Hotline” at 800-453-4756 could help stop meth use in your area.
