Diamond Ranch High School No Longer On Temp Lock Down Fri. After Phone Threat - LASD Diamond Bar

Due to a phone threat reported to deputies by the school at about 8:46AM on Friday, Walnut / Diamond Bar Sheriff's Station deputies responded to Diamond Ranch High School in Diamond Bar. Investigation revealed there was no indication the threat was credible.

As a precaution, the school was placed on lockdown and access into and out of the school was restricted. School officials and deputies walked the entire campus, including the classrooms, as a precautionary check and to reassure students and staff.

A Sheriff's Special Enforcement Bureau (http://www.SEB.lasd.org) team and helicopter were nearby and heard the call go out. They went to the area as a precaution and left soon thereafter when it was determined they were not needed.

"At this point of the investigation, there is no specific information that the threat is credible," said Lieutenant Chris Blasnek, Walnut / Diamond Bar Sheriff's Station. "Yet we take all threats seriously and will continue to work closely with school administrators to do all we can to ensure the safety of students and teachers."
