Subject: Winter Storm Warning
A winter storm warning and blizzard warning have been issued for our area through Thursday December 20, 2012. Road conditions are expected to be extremely hazardous with high winds and heavy snow fall.
The Sun Prairie Police Department is encouraging residents to stay off of the roadways from Thursday at 12:00 A.M. until the conclusion of the storm. Check the latest road conditions by monitoring news media outlets and visiting various websites such as www.511wi.gov.

The City of Sun Prairie is declaring a Snow Emergency beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, December 20 and continuing until 7 a.m. on Friday, December 21. A Snow Emergency means that there is no parking on any City street until the Snow Emergency has been canceled. Vehicles parked on the street in violation of this ordinance can be ticketed ($50 fine) and may be towed.
