Attention Rutgers Community,
The Rutgers Police Department is investigating a criminal sexual contact which was reported to have occurred on Thursday December 13, 2012 at approximately 8:27PM inside the first floor women's room of Scott Hall (43 College Avenue) near room 112.
The victim reported that while inside the women's bathroom, a male suspect approached her from behind, grabbed her by the waist and pulled her towards him. The suspect then placed his hand underneath her clothing and touched her buttock. The victim stated that the suspect released her after she called for help. The suspect left the scene in an unknown direction of travel.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5'11" in height, mid twenties, with a mustache, wearing a black beanie cap, tan jacket and black pants.
The Rutgers Police Department is actively investigating this incident and asks that anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time, to contact Detective Sergeant Brian Emmett of the Rutgers Police Department's Detective Bureau at (732) 932-8025 or (732) 932-7211.

Remaining alert and aware of the people and circumstances around you;
Immediately report suspicious activity to local law enforcement; and
Walking in groups when traveling during late night hours.
