This week we, once again, stayed near the yearly average for Part-1 crimes in Saugus. We had two commercial burglaries this week. The first occurred at a bank along the 26500 block of Bouquet Canyon Rd. on Tuesday, 12/04/2012. The suspects entered the bank and attempted to pass a forged check. Deputies were called to the bank after the suspects had left the location. The suspects were located a short time later while driving back to their residence. The suspects were taken into custody without incident.
There was a second commercial burglary on Thursday, 12/06/2012, where unknownsuspect(s) entered a Laundromat, located along the 26800 block of Seco Canyon Rd., and attempted to break into the coin dispenser. The suspect(s) also damaged a washing machine. Suspect(s) ultimately stole detergent before leaving the location.
There was one vehicle stolen in Saugus over the past week near the corner of Rio Norte Dr/Adobe Ct. on Saturday, 12/08/2012. The vehicle was taken between the hours of 12:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m..
There was a grand theft from a local gym along the 26400 block of Golden Valley Rd. on Tuesday, 12/04/2012. The victim left his bag, containing multiple valuable items, unattended at the basketball courts for approximately 15 minutes. When he returned to retrieve his bag it was missing.
There was a petty theft from a residence in the 21600 block of Canyon Heights Cir. on Friday, 12/07/2012. An unknown person stole a Christmas decoration from the front door of the residence.
