Fruitport Township Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that took place shortly after 4 a.m. on Tuesday, 11/27/2012, at the BP Cloverville E-Z Mart on Heights Ravenna Road.
No one was injured during the robbery. A masked suspect armed with a handgun walked into the gas station and demanded that the clerk hand over money. He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Multiple police agencies and a K-9 unit assisted in trying to locate the suspect, however the suspect was not immediately located. Police are continuing to investigate the situation.
No further details regarding the incident are being released by police at this time.
