Puppy Missing After Residential Burglary

DATE/TIME: October 12, 2012 between 0830 and 1715 hours
LOCATION: 200 Block W Oakwood Blvd, Redwood City
TYPE OF INCIDENT: Residential Burglary

INCIDENT SUMMARY:

On 11-12-12 between 8:30 am and 5:15 pm a residential burglary occurred on the 200 block of W Oakwood Blvd in Redwood City. The suspects stole electronics and jewelry from the house and fled. No one was home at the time of the thefts. Also missing from the house following the burglary was an 11-week old chocolate lab puppy named “Gus.”

The Redwood City Police Department is currently investigating the burglary and disappearance of the puppy. Anyone with information regarding the burglary or the whereabouts of “Gus” should call Detective Josh Chilton at 650-780-7141 or afterhours at 650-369-3331. If you wish to remain anonymous, you can call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477. Persons providing information that leads to the suspect’s identification may be eligible for a cash reward from Crime Stoppers.

Attached below is a recent photograph of “Gus.” He is described as an 11-week old “chocolate” Labrador retriever puppy. He was wearing a collar with a blue bone identification tag with the name Gus as well as contact information of the owners.
