This is a reminder that Franklin Township has declared a state of emergency. All travel is limited to emergencies only.

Residents are to be advised that Franklin Township remains under a state of emergency due to the Hazardous conditions caused by hurricane Sandy. There are numerous road closings and extremely hazardous conditions in the Township. All travel is limited to emergencies only.
For those requiring emergency travel the following MAJOR roads are closed. Please note there are numerous other roads throughout the township that remain not passable:

Skillmans Ln.
Canal Rd.
Weston Canal Rd.
South Middlebush Road (Between Jacques Ln. and Skillmans Ln.)
Grouser Rd.
Old Rd.
Franklin Blvd. at Runyon Ave.
Easton Ave. (between Demott Ln. and Willow Ave.)

The Franklin Township Office of Emergency Management will update the Franklin Township website (http://www.FranklinTwpNJ.org), the Franklin Township Community Information Line at 732-246-2318 (When Prompted hit option 1) and the Franklin Township Television Station (Comcast Channel 29 and Verizon FIOS Channel 33).

These three areas will be updated promptly as further information becomes available. Residents are reminded to call the Franklin Township Police Department for Emergencies Only by dialing 911. For non-emergencies please call 732-873-2300.
