(LATHROP, CA) On 10-27-12, at around 1:25am Lathrop Police Services deputies responded to the 100 Blk. of E. Harlan Rd. in Lathrop (Two Guys Store) to reports of a shooting.

When deputies arrived they found an 18 year old male, sitting in a vehicle parked on the Southside of the business next to the air station. The victim was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries and is currently in surgery in critical condition.

Sheriff’s detectives responded to the scene and have taken over the investigation.

Witnesses describe the suspect as a Hispanic or Black male 5-09, thin build wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, last seen running away from the victim’s car after hearing several gun shots. The suspect ran South East behind the store onto Harlan road.

The motive for the shooting is still under investigation. The possibility of the shooting being gang related has not been ruled out. No arrest(s) have been made in the case at this time.
