2012 FALL HYDRANT FLUSHING
The South River Water Utility will begin the Fall Hydrant Flushing Program starting on October 14th until November 2nd. Flushing hours will be from 9:00PM to 5:00AM.
During the hydrant flushing you may experience periods of discoloration, as well as, low water pressure, however, the water will be safe and sanitary. We urge you not to do any laundry during these times. The discoloration is caused by the iron sediment in the water main being disturbed by the hydrant flushing. If this occurs, please run your COLD water for several minutes to clear your lines. You should also flush your toilets once or twice. The water should run clear within a few minutes. We urge you not to do any laundry during these times.

Oct. 14th to 19th - Main St. (north end) to Pettit Ave. (all directions)
Oct. 21st to 26th - Sussex Ct. to Pierson St. (in all directions)
Oct. 28th to Nov. 2nd - Veterans Dr. to Essex St. (all directions)
