Arson Suspect Arrested in Fort Wayne
Fort Wayne, IN- The Indiana State Police, in cooperation with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the United States Marshal’s Service, the Allen County Drug Task Force and authorities from Ohio arrested a 52 year old DeKalb County man this afternoon on multiple charges stemming from a fire at an Islamic Center in Perrysburg Township, Ohio that was determined to have been the result of arson.
According to Detective Kent Havens, information was received today from state and federal authorities in Ohio indicating that they had arrest warrants for Randy T. Linn, 52 from St. Joe, Indiana and that they were seeking assistance in attempting to arrest Linn at his place of employment.
At approximately 3:30 pm, Troopers Don Curtin and Justin Snyder, along with Federal Agents and Drug Task Force members located and arrested Linn, without incident in a parking lot in the 7600 block of Opportunity Drive in Fort Wayne. The charges that Linn faces in Ohio are:
• Two Counts of Arson
• Aggravated Burglary
• Carrying a Concealed Weapon
Linn was taken to and incarcerated in the Allen County Jail pending extradition back to Ohio.
All Suspects Are Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty in a Court of Law
