Two Arrested for Dealing Cocaine and Marijuana
Traffic Stop for Speeding Nets Cocaine and Marijuana
Vanderburgh County – Thursday afternoon, September 27, at approximately 3:12 p.m., Trooper John Davis was patrolling U.S. 41 near I-164 when he stopped the driver of a 1998 Ford SUV for speeding. The vehicle was clocked by radar at 68 mph in a 50 mph zone. The driver was identified as Shurrod Strong, 25, of Morganfield, KY, and the front seat passenger was identified as Antonette Glass, 24, of Covington, GA. Trooper Davis detected an odor of marijuana inside the vehicle while talking to the driver. During a search of the vehicle, Trooper Davis located 84 small plastic baggies containing approximately 84 grams of marijuana, three plastic bags containing over 300 grams of marijuana and 15 baggies containing approximately 10 grams of cocaine. Strong and Glass were arrested and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail where they are currently being held without bond.

4. Possession of Marijuana over 30 grams, Class D Felony
5. Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Class D Felony
6. Possession of Paraphernalia, Class A Misdemeanor
