Sheriff's Bomb/Arson Unit at Robo Expo 
Members of the Sheriff’s Bomb/Arson Unit will have a display at the San Diego Science Alliance Robotic Education Expo on
Saturday, October 6
9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Cuyamaca Community College Student Center
900 Rancho San Diego Parkway, El Cajon.
This free event is open to the public. It's a gathering of teachers, students, parents and community members to explore resources for all things robotic in San Diego County. Community outreach is a top priority of the Sheriff’s Depar...tment and the Sheriff’s Bomb/Arson Unit is dedicated to inspiring students to learn about science, technology, math and engineering.
Two robots will be used in the demonstration. They can climb stairs even open doors. They also have cameras on board which relay images back to the operator via a hand-held control. The robots can also carry and manipulate delicate items during bomb disposal missions.
