Two Weekend Traffic Advisories

Here are two weekend traffic advisories for you:

1) Stanford Football takes on the USC Trojans this Saturday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. Expect heavy traffic along Embarcadero Road, El Camino Real, and Sand Hill Road. This is the first sellout crowd of the season, with more than 50,000 people expected. Go Cardinal!

2) On Sunday, September 16, a bicycle race called the Palo Alto Echelon Challenge and Gran Fondo will begin at City Hall starting at 8:00 a.m. About 1,500 bicycle riders will head south on Bryant Street to Oregon Expressway, then turn west to climb Page Mill Road to Junipero Serra Boulevard. We will be providing traffic control as the riders leave Palo Alto. After circling through the surrounding foothills, the riders will ultimately end up back downtown.

Bryant Street will be closed to traffic from University Avenue to Forest Avenue, and Hamilton Avenue will closed to traffic from Gilman Street to Ramona Street. These blocks will re-open to traffic at about 8:00 p.m. For more information, please visit .
