The Service Of A Search Warrant Has Resulted In One Arrest and The Seizure of 56.7 Grams Of Methamphetamine

The service of a search warrant by the Sheriff’s Narcotics Task Force Tuesday evening has resulted in one arrest and the seizure of 56.7 grams of methamphetamine.
On September 10, 2012 narcotics detectives secured a search warrant for the person, home and vehicle of 31 year old Christin Jean Kukar of Clearlake. On the evening of Tuesday September 11, 2012 at approximately 9:00 pm, narcotics detectives conducted an enforcement stop of Kukar’s vehicle. The enforcement stop occurred on Hwy 20 near Clearlake Oaks. Kukar, 26 year old Brandie Lea Meyer of Clearlake Oaks and a 14 year old minor were occupants of the vehicle.
Narcotics detectives served the search warrant on Kukar and her vehicle. Kukar admitted to possessing methamphetamine and removed approximately 56.7 grams of methamphetamine from inside her pants. Meyer and the 14 year old minor, who were detained at the time of the stop, were later released.
Shortly after the enforcement stop, narcotics detectives served the search warrant on Kukar’s home, which is located on 35th Avenue in Clearlake. Detectives were unable to locate any additional contraband.
Kukar was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sale and transportation of a controlled substance. She was transported to the Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility and booked. The estimated street value of the 56.7 grams of methamphetamine is approximately $6,000.00.
The Sheriff’s Narcotics Task Force will continue its efforts to eradicate narcotics from the communities of Lake County and seize the suspected profits of drug trafficking for the asset forfeiture whenever possible.
