Large load may cause power to be cut to some homes and businesses. 
On Sunday, 09/16/2012, a large load is scheduled to be driven in from Rocksprings. Its destination is eastern south Texas. The transport will come south on Getty from the city limits, then turn east onto Main. Due to the size of the load, AEP may have to remove some power lines until the transport has passed through. This may lead to temporary power outages for some residences and businesses in the city. The power will be reestablished as soon as possible. Uvalde 9-1-1 is aware of the transport and the possibility of the power being cut. If you suffer an extended period with your power being out, please contact AEP. Attached is a copy of the area route for the transport.
