Friday night is the NH premier of 3 Days of Normal, movie filmed in Washington, free showing at 8 pm on the Common.

On Friday August 31 the movie Three Days of Normal will be shown in the outdoor theater on Washington Town Common. The movie was filmed in several locations in New Hampshire and New York City with many scenes shot in the Town of Washington, primarily in and around the police station. Some of the charecters of the film portray Washington Police Officers using the actual equipment and insignia of the department. Many local residents have roles as extras and appear in the film.

The film stars Jace MacLean, Mircea Monroe and Richard Riehle. It was directed by Ishai Setton and produced by Jared Parsons. The producer will be attending the screening and an invitation has been extended to Maclean to join us as well. Some vehicles and equipment that appear in the movie will be on hand. Promotional copies of the DVD (no art, no DVD extras) will be for $10 each with autographs will be available.

The first NH screening will be open to public and free of charge. Donations are being accepted to cover the costs of the showing, and any funds beyond expenses will be donated to the Washington Fire & Rescue Scholarship Fund.

Events will start around 7:15 and the movie will start at dark, about 8:00 pm in the natural amphitheatre next to Congregational Church and Police Station on the Town Common. Come ealry and stake out your spot on the lawn. Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets. We hope to have an ice cream vendor and the Parks & Rec Committee will be firing up the popcorn machine! The town's poet, Guy Eaton, may even grace us with some prose for the evening. Come join in and continue our summer long celebration of Washington!
