March with Family & LASD: Tues. 7pm - 1 yr Anniv of Unsolved Murders of LASD Explorer & Friend in Whittier (Co.)

7 PM tonight, Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012.

In the early morning hours of August 28, 2011, Cesar Rodriguez MH/19 and Larry Villegas MH/24, were killed at the 11800 Block of Painter Avenue, Unincorporated Whittier, as a result of a callous drive-by shooting.

Cesar, at the time of his death, was an active member of the Norwalk Sheriff’s Station Explorer Program. Cesar had just recently applied to become a Deputy Sheriff.

Family, friends, neighbors and members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department will come together to march in honor of Cesar to bring public awareness to the one year anniversary of this senseless crime and ask for the public’s help to bring the suspect(s) to justice and bring some peace to the victim’s families. (Family members will be available for news media interviews).

The march will begin:

Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 7:00 PM
at the intersection of Laurel Ave. and Sunshine Ave., Unincorporated Whittier



The march will conclude:

a short time later at Amelia Maybury Park
located at 13201 Meyer Road, Unincorporated Whittier.
