Lake County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies respond to a report of a physical fight involving multiple subjects Wednesday night, which resulted in one arrest.

On August 15, 2012 at approximately 11:00 pm, deputies responded to the 100 block of Hoover Street in Clearlake Oaks for a report of a physical fight involving multiple subjects. Upon arrival the deputies noticed several people in the middle of Hoover Street engaging in a physical fight.

The deputies contacted the victim who said he was inside his residence and could hear what sounded like several people yelling. He looked outside and saw three male subjects start to attack one of his neighbors. The victim went outside and told everyone involved not to fight in front of his residence and attempted to pull the subjects off of his neighbor. He said the number of people involved in the fight started to grow and they became hostile towards him and threatened to kill him. The victim said he looked up and saw 20 year old Howard Darnell Reed of Clearlake Oaks, pick up a cinder block style brick and hit him with it. The brick struck the victim on the left arm and shoulder.

Reed was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and transported to the Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility and booked.
